🧡 The Mother Archetype

This weekend is Mother's Day. It is a holiday that is meaningful and nourishing for some and complicated/difficult and painful for others. It a is a time when the challenges from our childhood can resurface, and if you are a mother, you can question the choices you have made over the years.

Whether you had an amazing mother or not, it is impossible for anyone to meet all of our needs, so we all have some aspects from our childhood that can be released. We have some challenges and maybe some wounding. Our past influences our future if we let it.

When we examine the mother-child relationship more deeply, we can examine the mother archetype. An archetype is a collection of the unconscious and conscious beliefs and characteristics associated with a role.

When you think of a mother, what thoughts come up? What do you feel? These feelings and thoughts are all associated with the archetype. This archetype has so many expectations put on it and impacts the role of being a mother and a child. If these beliefs remain in the unconscious, they can impact you. If you bring them into your consciousness, you can work with them, release them, and move forward.

I invite you to explore your beliefs and feelings about the mother archetype only if you feel emotionally safe to do so.

Here is an exercise that you can do now.

  1. Take out a piece of paper or journal and take 3-5 breaths, bringing your presence into your body.
  2. Think about the mother archetype (you can focus on your role as a mother or your relationship with your mother).
  3. Once the feeling is in your body, allow it to be there and breathe.
  4. From that feeling - write everything that you want to express, that this feeling wants to express.
  5. Now take a few more breaths and send gratitude for the process, any positive experiences or the lessons

If try this process, I would love to hear how it was for you.

If you know that the mother archetype is impacting you and you are ready to move forward, then schedule a session with me.

The work I do as a Spiritual Success and Business coach goes deep into the unconscious, I don't stay at the surface level of strategy (although we do create strategy). The thing is these blocks are what is stopping your success, you can try 100 strategies but unless you work on your mind they won't work or won't work for very long.

Take care of yourself this weekend,

XOXO

Hello Reader, Have you ever found yourself wondering, Why does this feel so hard? When can I stop working on myself? Lately, these questions have come up not just for me, but for many of my clients as well. It’s common to feel overwhelmed, tired, or like something is constantly nagging at you. When we face these moments, it’s a signal to pause and reflect. Our emotions act as a guidance system. While we shouldn’t let them control us, it’s crucial to listen to what they’re trying to convey....

Are you in a significant life transition? OR Do you feel paralyzed when making a decision? Reader, I have found that the bigger the transition or decision, the harder it is to choose. For everything you say yes to, you are saying no to many other things. You may be concerned that you will make the "wrong" decision, that you are not fulfilling your purpose with a certain decision, or that you feel confused. Either way, making choices during a major transition can be challenging. I do remember...

Dear Reader Is your mind a "mean girl?" - I know mine is, and it has been a journey to learn how to work with my mind so it doesn't hold me back or rob the joy out of life. During this journey, I tried everything to help, from talking about it, hypnosis, regression, and thought work, but more than all of that, I worked on changing my circumstances, thinking that I would feel better if ______ (fill in the blank with something you want). Everything would help; some of the changes were...
